I’ve been trying to cover some of the more difficult topics on the podcast recently that are hard for me to talk about, but I know have a greater meaning behind them. This one is no different as I share my experience and the implications of being NPO, also known as “nothing by mouth”, for months on end when I was in the hospital and for someone who's been obese. I talk constantly about changing your relationship with food, but have never touched on this time where I literally couldn’t eat or drink anything at all, or use food to cope with what I was going through. So join me as I dive deeper into:
• Medically not being able to eat or drink as a way to cope with one of the darkest moments in my life.
• The difference between loving food and loving eating.
• Did this experience alone change my relationship with food?
• How food became the enemy when I couldn’t keep anything down.
